Owl Templates on EdgeRater

Dr. Ken Long’s Swing Systems and Critical States templates are on EdgeRater PRO 2024 release.

• Scanning — by pressing a single button, symbols that adhere to the trading strategy rules will be displayed. Upon selecting a symbol from the report, the corresponding chart will appear, highlighting the relevant date.

• Backtesting — you specify entry rule(s) and an exit rule(s) and then use the built-in Trade Simulation feature to backtest all stocks in your symbol list over your chosen time period. A comprehensive trade report is generated showing the trade list, daily equity curve, frequency distribution chart and trade summary. You can navigate around the generated report and see each trade highlighted on a stock chart showing the entry, exit and reason for exit (eg. Stop loss exit). If you have many simulations to run you can put them together in batch runs.

• Monte Carlo Simulation - run Monte Carlo analysis on your trade strategy P&L to create a statistically significant distribution of expected Final Equity returns and Maximum Drawdown.

• Multi-Factor Analysis - determine how your strategy will perform under different market conditions, seasons, months, day of the week, or with different indicators. Label the specific combinations of interest and execute the Multi-Factor Analysis to evaluate the strategy's performance in each scenario.
